Student wins big with a £1,000,000 lottery jackpotBy Editor
Winning a large sum of money is the dream of many a student. No longer would one have to trawl the busy chaos of Primark, looking for something that’s vaguely acceptable. No longer would one have to settle on a meager bowl of Super Noodles (other dehydrated instant noodle-based snacks are available) for dinner. No longer would one consider a walk around the park an acceptable third date.
Only joking, park dates are wonderful.
Anyway, like a triumphant park date, I’ve wandered off from the point. Last week, a student by the name of Jirtchaya Klongjarn won a cool £1 million pounds after getting right all 6 numbers of Ladbrokes’ 49’s twice a day lottery.
Klongjarn who is a 36-year-old masters student from Thailand intends to share her riches with her mother back at home, and celebrated her win with friends at Chester racecourse.
Speaking on her excitement, she said:
“I'm over the moon and I still can't believe it. I told my friends I had won the 49's and that I might have a chance to win a million, then when I finally found out I was so excited.
The Chester University student only spent £2 on the bets that when she won the jackpot. She continued:
“It still doesn't feel real and I've barely slept. I had some bad luck earlier on in the year but this has made up for it. My friends all play the 49's and they now say I'm the luckiest in the whole group.”
This is of course incredible news, and we wish Jirtchaya the very best.
If I won the lottery I would buy a houseboat and a lot of pizza. What would you spend yours on? Let us know via Twitter or Facebook. Interesting answers only please. No ‘I’d probably buy this Fiat Punto I’ve been eyeing up on Autotrader’s website for while’, thanks.
