National Student Money Week

National Student Money Week

National Student Money Week (NSMW) wants to raise public awareness of the financial advice available to students.

They aim to give off a positive message to the student population on behalf of all those working to make sure you worry about your cash whilst you study.

Partnering up with The University of the West of England and Birmingham City University, this event gives students the opportunity to link up with other universities and share their tips and tricks.

This year National Student Money Week has dedicated a whole month for you to get involved! Here’s a quick run-down of what’s happening and when:

  • Week Beginning: 10- Feb 2014 – The launch of NSMW. This week includes saving tips for Valentine’s Day. That’s Friday 14th for all of you who forgot.
  • Week Beginning: 17 Feb 2014 – Looking into payday lending and affordable credit.
  • Week beginning: 24 Feb 2014 – Accommodation themed saving tips like energy saving, carbon monoxide awareness, deposits, etc.
  • Week beginning: 3 Mar 2014 – Healthy minds and healthy bodies highlights the importance of wellness, good physical and mental health
