National Student Finance Day 2012

Today, September 20, is National Student Finance Day.

With the hike in tuition fees, it seems that more and more of you are being put off going to university by the thought of crippling costs. National Student Finance Day aims to raise awareness of the actual costs and help you in making that all important decision.

Across the UK, universities will be putting on a selection of events to help both prospective and existing students and address any concerns they may have. Check out your uni’s website for details of the sessions going on around campus, and take a look at our selection of relevant information below.

This handy video explains the tuition fees that universities ask you to pay:

Have a read of this guide which will help you to understand the true cost of full time higher education study in England from 2013.

And you can also get this information as a mobile app which enables you to access resources including the full-time students guide, videos and university fees calculator. The app also has a table detailing what grants and bursaries each university is offering to students depending on their household income and details of how to apply to university. Download it or go to your app store, search ‘Uni Fees 2012’ and download it for free.
