Healthy ice lolly recipes to help combat this weekend’s mad heat

It’s hot as hell outside and it’s going to get hotter. The Met Office has issued a level 2 warning for tomorrow, with temperatures set to reach as high as 28C in Birmingham, 26C in Liverpool and 30c in London. As such, we feel it is only appropriate that we issue you with some delicious AND healthy ice lolly recipes.

Green Tea, Ginger and Cucumber popsicles

Ingredients:

Cucumbers,
ginger,
green tea,
agave syrup lollies

Recipe

1. Pre-make half a jar of Green Tea and let it cool down.

2. Blend or Juice the cucumber and the ginger with the green tea liquid. ( I prefer blending because you get some texture and small pieces of the ingredients as well as the juice.)

3. Add the Agave Syrup (or Sugar) to make it as sweet as you like.
Pour the mixture in the containers and freeze

Chocolate Cookie and Cream Lollies

Ingredients

1 cup of Greek style yoghurt
2 scoops of cookies and cream protein
two squares of 81% cacao

Recipe

1: Add the yoghurt and protein to a bowl, chop the chocolate and add to the mix.

2: Place mixture evenly into lolly moulds and freeze for a few hours.
