Got a problem? Ask Sam!

Got a problem? Ask Sam!

Keele Uni have created a virtual online adviser to help students deal with the stresses of being at university.

The avatar, who they’ve nicknamed “Sam”, will advise students on a range subjects from money worries and exam stress to relationships and loneliness.

After submitting a question to the system, you can receive either verbal or written advice as well as links to further help.

Partially funded part by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, the project aims to help young people who have never lived away from home or may be too embarrassed to ask a staff member. “Sam” has been put in place to “enhance, not replace” traditional university advice services.

It’s also supposed to improve the student experience, with those paying the new, higher course costs being treated as consumers as well as students.

Visit him here.

One thing “Sam” doesn’t know though guys, is how to cure a hangover.
