The Sweet Tablet Kola Kube

The Sweet Tablet Kola Kube

Eyeing up an iPad but don’t quite have the eye-watering amount of cash for it?

Maybe Sweet Tablets have the answer made for you! Their 9.7” tablet, the Kola Kube, has exactly the same screen size as an iPad but only costs around £180. Or, if you’d prefer something smaller to fit into your pocket or bag, the 7” Midget Gem is going for a very cute £80!

Sweet Tablet’s Kola Kube runs on Google Android’s Jelly Bean, one of the latest versions of the popular operating system which leaves you free to download to your heart’s content from The Play Store. It also has a Dual Core Processor.

The Kola Kube comes with plenty of memory which can be increased with a low cost standard micro SD card.

The screen is bright and clear and responsive to touch. Plus, you get a choice of home screens  — either a Windows 8 or traditional ‘app’ style which is kind of nifty.

Surfing the internet is straightforward, just touch the preloaded browser and off you go. Of course, you are free to download alternative browsers which you may prefer such as Firefox or Opera etc.

The Kola Kube comes pre-installed with the top 20 apps, so in seconds you’ll be impressed with what Facebook looks like on a seemingly huge screen if you’re used to seeing it on a smart phone.

YouTube playback is also great, espeially the HD quality videos. You can also connect it to a HDMI-ready TV (just simply plug and play), but you will need a separate cable for this.

Movies, music and word processing are all available from The Play Store and many top apps have free versions. You can copy and paste these apps to a PC with ease using the USB cable that comes in The Kola Kube’s great box.

Soon Google will launch Google Music here in the UK which will give you the ability to import your iTunes library with just a few clicks — it’s already been launched in the US and is one of the reasons that Android smartphones outsell iPhones over there. No doubt, the same will happen with phones and in due course with tablets over here.

The Kola Kube is:

  • Outstanding value for money
  • Well-made and easy to use with unhindered access to The Google Play Store
  • An excellent device for study, entertainment and social networking
  • Made by a UK company with UK warranty & support offering a 12 month warranty
  • Including a neoprene cover. A keyboard case with stand is available
