Sharon returns to The X Factor!By Sj.Cliff
It has been confirmed that Sharon Osbourne will be returning to the X Factor this year, as a judge alongside Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, and fellow original panellist Louis Walsh.
The announcement came after Tulisa, a judge on the show for the past two years, tweeted that she would not be returning to the show this year.
It’s been reported that Sharon will be given £1.5million to appear on the show, and her return is receiving mixed feedback from the public.
With the departure of Simon Cowell two years ago, the ratings for the show fell dramatically, and have been regularly beaten in the ratings war by Strictly Come Dancing.
But Simon hopes that his choice to bring back Sharon will refresh interest in the show, and ITV agree, saying “We're delighted to confirm our fantastic panel, who will bring an incredible combined wealth of experience to our 10th series of The X Factor.”
Earlier in the year there were rumours that Nicole would not return to the show due to music commitments, but those were squashed yesterday when the lineup announced that all three other judges would be staying.
After mentoring the winning act, James Arthur last year, Nicole is ready to give 110% to X Factor 2013, alongside Louis Walsh who is on his tenth year sitting on the panel!
Head judge Gary Barlow, who seems to have won the hearts of the public as Simon’s replacement three years ago, is also excited for the return saying: “It’s great to be back for the 10-year anniversary… this year is looking to be our best yet!”
This year the show is having a change to the audition process, reverting back to the more traditional auditions in an intimate audition room in front of the panel before progressing to auditioning infront of an audience.
Will the change in panel and audition process make you more or less likely tune in this year? Who would you prefer to see on the panel of judges?
