Little jealous Mr Franco?

Little jealous Mr Franco?

James Franco is claiming that he invented the Oscars selfie that set the internet on fire earlier this month.

During an American TV interview, he claims to have had the idea first when he was hosting the awards ceremony in 2011. The once “king of the selfie” has been snapping pictures of himself for a while now due to an Instagram love (or addiction).

But he’s not at all bitter that Ellen DeGeneres beat him to the most retweeted photo of all time…

"I took some videos and selfies at my Oscars and I got criticised for it," he said during the NBC Today interview,  "Now [Ellen DeGeneres is] getting a lot of attention for hers. I don't get it."

And his theory on where he’s going wrong? "I guess maybe I didn't include Meryl Streep and Bradley Cooper in my Oscar selfies, so maybe that's why it went wrong,"

Green isn’t your colour James…
