Justin Bieber saves Russian man from bear attackBy Editor
He may be currently involved in an ongoing spat between Orlando Bloom, and getting into all kinds of mischief in general, but the 20-year-old singer may be responsible for saving the life of a man being mauled by a brown bear.
Could conflict resolution be the singer’s road to perdition? Not quite.
Igor Vorozhbitsyn, a fisherman who was trawling in north of his native land, was minding his own business when he became the victim of a predatory attack by the savage beast.
He told Central European News: “I had parked my car and was walking towards the spot I’d marked out when there was a tremendous impact on my back and the bear was on top of me.”
It could have been game over for him, but luckily someone began calling him on his phone and the ringtone scared the animal so much it retreated into the woodland from which it came.
And what was the ringtone that worried the bear so much? Only Justin Bieber’s seminal pop classic, Baby.
Clarifying why the grizzly, grown man had a song that was made by a then 15-year-old as his ringtone, Vorozhbitsyn responded:
“I couldn’t believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled. I know that sort of ringtone isn’t to everyone’s taste, but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke.”
Despite being saved from imminent death, the fisherman still was badly injured and had to receive serious medical treatment. So here is a piece of advice for anyone wishing to go near bears: don’t.
It is not clear whether JB is aware that his song has saved a life, but if it has, let us hope it inspires him to patch things up with Legolas and makes him think twice about urinating in restaurant mop buckets.
In the mean time, we’ll just have to look forward to a report in the near future relating to a man being saved by a savage honeybadger assault due to him beguiling the mammal with a haunting rendition of Biebs’ recent hit Confident.
