Hey, get a load of Slaves’ new singleBy Editor
Every now and then, it's not uncommon for a brash and energetic British band to cause a stir in the underground scene. The most recent example, of course, The Libertines.
But there has been a lull as of late, and people are scratching their heads as to where the next alternative sound is going to come from.
Well look no further than Slaves, who are readying the release of their new single, 'Hey'.
Directed by Roger Sargent, a man who has photographed anyone who's anyone in the music and film world, the video follows a drunken reveler as he exists in a pub in the heart of East London (Mile End).
He is then accosted by band members Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman, who deliver a stark, but confusing message.
Already gathering traction with the likes of Zane Lowe playing it on his In New Music We Trust playlist, as well as a nod from BBC 6 Music, it's a good idea you get to know this band before they get too big for their boots.
Their single is out 14th October and be sure to see them live at the following dates:
