Have McDonalds taken the first step towards deliveries?

Have McDonalds taken the first step towards deliveries?

In a story first reported by BI Inteligece McDonalds have taken a step into the future.

The fast food chain currently rolling out an app that enables its customers to order and pay for their meals in advance. Awesome right?!

So how does it work? After inputting your details, you place an order and get to your local store.

Then (possibly the worst part of the idea) you scan a QR code to pay. As soon as you’ve done that then McDonalds starts making your food.

Depending on how you’ve got to the store, you either receive an order number to your phone (sort of like Argos) or check in to the car park and wait for your order to come to you.

Nearly 10 people per day have been using the test app – without the company even advertising!

Unfortunately this new idea is only available in the US – so exclusively that only 22 locations have this smart perk.  There is an app for the UK market but it just tells you where the stores are.

Still don’t believe us? You can find it on Android App store!

What do you guys think? Is this taking fast food too far or just made it better? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.
