With the 25th Anniversary of the Italia ’90 World Cup comes the incredible story of one of football’s greatest ever players. GASCOIGNE is now available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download courtesy of ENTERTAINMENT ONE.

As one of the greatest English footballers ever to have played the beautiful game, Paul Gascoigne is a fascinating man. His addictions and lifelong troubles have become as famous as his prowess on the pitch, and in this candid feature film takes us through some of the pivotal moments of his life, both emotional and professional.  To coincide with the release, we take a look at Gazza’s top moments to remind us why the country still loves him so much...

THAT famous Vinnie incident

NO-ONE will ever forget Gazza’s infamous eye-watering 1988 clash with Wimbledon hardman turned movie star Vinnie Jones. During the Magpies visit to take on Wimbledon, Jones’ was given the task of man-marking the twenty-year-old hero – giving us the iconic image of Vinnie grabbing Gazza’s privates.

Tears in the Italia ’90 World Cup

After he received a booking in England's semi-final against West Germany which ruled him out of the final and led Gary Linker to urge Sir Bobby to ‘have a word with him’. Gazza's tears captured the hearts of England fans both in the stadium and at home, though England went on to lose the match on penalties.

With just five minutes gone on the clock, Spurs were awarded a free-kick and Gazza unleashed an unstoppable drive into the top corner of the net.

Gazza’s marvellous solo goal for Lazio in ‘93 where he controlled the ball for 35 yards, centrally and zigzagged through the Piacenza defence as they came at him.

Everybody loved Gazza for his banter, so here’s a clip of him sniffing the ref, eating too many crisps and pretending to smoke cigars in the dug-out.
