Bye Bye Flappy!

By Sj.Cliff
Bye Bye Flappy!

The creator of the super-infuriating Flappy Bird game has pulled it form the app store.  The game we all love to hate was pulled from app stores on Sunday.

A lot like the helicopter game of old, flappy bird involves furiously tapping away at your touchscreen device to get the flappy bird through Mario-style settings. Though unlike the game we remember, it’s pretty much impossible.

Creator Dong Nguyen removed the game as the fame had ruined his “simple life”. He isn’t selling the rights to the game on, despite making over $50,000 a day in advertising.

Twitter is already mourning the loss with #RIPFlappyBird and #SaveFlappyBird trending as well as Save Flappy accounts spawning overnight.

There is still hope (if that’s what you call it) for a sequel. Dong is still a “passionate indie game maker” and tweeted that he is still creating.
