10 of the best reactions to the worst football mascot of all time

Partick Thistle, a football club from Glasgow, launched their new mascot via Twitter yesterday. We really doubt that they expected it to get so much attention.

“Sure, a few thousand retweets is great!” I can image their social media manager saying, rubbing their hands together. Little did they know, Kinglsey was about to call mascots everywhere into question.

Kingsley was designed by David Shrigley, a Turner Prize-winning artist known for his almost doodle-y style.

This new, less animal-y, mascot has completely divided twitter. We decided to look into some of the Twittospheres reactions:

Some users think it could be a conspiracy.

Or that he may just be a little too creepy…

Sort of like a super villain in the making.

Maybe he's just too artsy for the football scene?

But he has been compared to some other, friendlier yellow characters…

But, no matter how long I spend on Twitter, I couldn’t find a single person that liked poor little Kingsley. Aside from the man that created this Frankenmascot.

Instagram loves the little fella though…

Meet Kingsley. The new #partickthistle mascot.
