HMV and Teenage Cancer Trust present: the 50/50 Challenge
Following the success of award winning comedy 50/50, in which 500 Days of Summer heart-throb Jason Gordon-Levitt is diagnosed with cancer, HMV and Teenage Cancer Trust have teamed up to raise awareness about the disease.
The duo will be challenging their braver and more charitable customers to get their heads shaved in support of the charity.
Using the enormously talented team from Electric Hair, the charity and the high street retailer will be inviting those who have successfully raised £50 to get a bespoke buzz cut at HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store on day of release.
Those brave enough to say farewell to their hair – just as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character did in the hit film – will be able to register their fundraising via a special Virgin Money Giving page before coming down to the store on March 26 and getting the haircut of a life time – in front of Oxford Street’s busy lunchtime shoppers!
