Who runs the world? GIRLS!

Who runs the world? GIRLS!

International Womens Day is tomorrow girls!  It’s time to get fierce.

IWD has been in place since the early 1900’s, when 15,000 women of NYC took to the streets, marching for better hours, better pay and the right to vote.

Obviously, things have changed a lot since then but women still face struggles in the workplace. IWD wants to inspire a positive change in the way women are treated and celebrate how far they’ve come.

A range of local activities link women from around the world. Check online to see what’s happening near you. Can’t find anything? Then make your own, sister! From political rally’s to craft markets, it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you get involved.

Even Google gets in on the action.

Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.
