What are you doing for LGBT History Month?

What are you doing for LGBT History Month?

The February tradition is well underway!

LGBT History Month is the month-long observance of lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender history. It celebrates the abolition of Section 28 (passed in 1998 and repealed in 2003) which was intended to prohibit the discussion of LGBT issues in schools.

Across the country, marches, demonstrations, talks, art, poetry and general celebrations will be taking place. For a full list of events and to find out more, please visit the LGBT History Month website.

If you would like to organise your own event, you can also submit it to the website to be publicised in their listings. Click here to do so.

And don’t forget to let us know what you’re getting up to!
