Mind, the mental health charity

Mind, the mental health charity

We’re Mind, good to meet you.

We’re Mind, the mental health charity. We’re here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
Right now, 1 in 4 people is experiencing a mental health problem. It could be your housemate, your friend, it could be you. That’s the elephant in the room.

Talking helps. It’s as simple as asking your friends how they are feeling and if you notice them feeling stressed, talk to them about it. Make sure that you are able to talk to your friends if you are feeling low or stressed yourself, don’t bottle things up.

It’s okay not to feel okay. Even if you are a student and are meant to be having the time of your life, mental health problems can happen to anyone at any time. The important thing is that you are not alone and Mind is here to help.

“The support I received was absolutely brilliant and the reason I did my degree was to prove what can be achieved with a mental health condition.”

We are here for you

Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner. Mind’s website contains lots of useful information about how you can take care of your mental wellbeing, as well as links to our local Mind services and Mind Info line.

Become a friend of the elephant

Don’t ignore the elephant in the room. Instead, make him your friend - join our supportive community at facebook.com/mindelephant and tell the elephant how you are feeling today.

You can be there for us

“I loved fundraising for Mind as all of you are so personally dedicated to your work in a really genuine and un-pushy way. It's such a brilliant charity with creative ideas about how to help people.”
