Fresh out of the box with BOXFRESH!

On Saturday 17th May, Boxfresh brings its 25th birthday celebrations to East London.

Fresh Out The Box is a curated day of FREE events including lectures, workshops, live music, DJ sets, fashion workshops and more. Expect master-classes in aspects of street culture from the last 25 years. A hotbed of street culture’s inspirational figures will be doing the creative, dynamic things that define the Boxfresh brand.

Boxfresh takeover two creative spaces in East London, Lyst Studios (formerly White Cube) and Hoxton Arches.  Both venue events are FREE, just register via the weblink below.


Lyst Studios on Hoxton Square will be home to a lineup of hourly lectures, hosted by music journalist and BBC Radio 1 presenter Nihal.

• Lecture 1 – Doc Brown talks Comedy, Acting, Street Culture & London
• Lecture 2 – 25 Years of Street Fashion. A Panel Discussion with designer Fred Butler, trainer fanatic Kish Kash, Founder & Head Designer at B-Side Walé Adeyemi MBE, and T-Shirt Party London founder Cieron Magat
• Lecture 3 - Renowned for documenting youth movements, British Photographer Ewen Spencer will be talking about photography and UKG subculture
• Lecture 4 – East London rapper Devlin will be talking music.
• Lecture 5 - Taking a break from music and acting roles, Goldie will be talking  on art and graffiti


Hoxton Arches will play host to a series of workshops from talented artists pushing boundaries through innovation, creativity and a fresh energy.


• Workshop 1 -  Graffiti Workshop & Street Art Tour
• Workshop 2 -  ‘London Ink’ Tattoo Artist Nikole Lowe on Tattoo design
• Workshop 3 - Harking back to the roots of Boxfresh, a T-Shirt design workshop with record label turned T-Shirt designers Millionhands

• Party – To close Hoxton Arches, one of Boxfresh’s “Ones To Watch” Anushka will be performing live. Rinse FMs Josey Rebelle will also be spinning records, and BBQ food with Cult Events.

The day is rounded off with a ticketed after party at new Shoreditch venue, Kachette with confirmed acts including; Fatima & The Eglo Band (Live), Lil Silva, Swindle, Mo Kolours (Live) and Coby Sey. Tickets are priced at just £5.
