Students, we feel ya’. The biggest and wildest night of the year is just around the corner and once again, you’re stuck for plans. From unruly late night affairs in south London to stylish prohibition-themed soirees in Birmingham, DesignMyNight havelet us in on ten budget-friendly events across the UK that will leave you with a New Year’s Eve to remember.

Wolf of Wall Street Party at IndigO2 - London

Xclusive Touch have earned a name for hosting some of London’s most boisterous parties and they’re gonna build on this stellar reputation with a homage to king-of-the-outrageous, Jordan Belfort. Their Wolf of Wall Street-themed extravaganza will kick off early, but arrive before 10pm to nab a complimentary glass of bubbly. A jaw-dropping circus will roll into London for a night of debauchery on December 31st. Get a ticket and scoot over to Proud this New Year’s Eve for an electrifying show starring daring fire breathers and high-flying acrobats. The Supreme Collective, an electric funk and soul band, will kick off proceedings with a pumping party set and music will continue to boom from the speakers until 5am. The venue will be kitted out with circus themed decor and ice cannons; and 10,000 balloons will fall from the ceiling at midnight to ensure 2017 really pops off.

Islington London Cocktail Club NYE LTD - London

Elegant masquerade balls were once reserved for the upper echelons of society. Not anymore. Come December 31st, Islington’s London Cocktail Club will bring a decadent soiree to the masses. Alongside incredible absinthe fountains, affordable happy hours and otherworldly cocktail concoctions, you can expect a night of hip grinding tunes and massive NYE party vibes. Serving classic daiquiris in jam jars and pop culture influenced mixes, like  Harry Potter-themed butter beer, it’s about time you bought your early bird ticket. They will set you back £10, but you will receive a sultry mask upon entry and a complimentary cocktail from Craft Cocktail Co.

Cirque du Sway at Sway - London

This popular student haunt will open all five of its regal rooms this New Year’s to welcome in eccentric showgirls, daring stuntmen, a sensual burlesque show and, of course, hundreds of excited revellers. But, don’t fear, resident Sway DJs will be on hand to spin club classics and retro, cheesy hits that have made this Holborn hotspot one of London’s favourite feel-good hangouts. Tickets start from £20, but for £5 extra you can indulge in a delicious five-course meal (that’s right, £1 a course!); think lobster, prawn and avocado starters, succulent steak with brandy peppercorn sauce and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Turnt House Party at The Driver - London

Torn between hitting one of London’s clubs and hosting a raucous house party this year? The Driver in King’s Cross are offering you the best of both worlds with their New Year’s Eve party. Starting at just £20, you’ll be treated to Turnt DJs playing old skool anthems, hip hop bangers and r’n’b classics across five different floors. Head up to The Driver’s spacious roof terrace to catch London’s fantastic firework display or rise from the sofa, hold hands with your mates and sing Auld Lang Syne in a more intimate setting.  New Year’s Eve Extravaganza at Tiger Tiger - Cardiff

No New Year’s Eve event line-up is complete without Tiger Tiger. With a refuge in pretty much every major city, it’s hard to pick just one venue, but their Cardiff site has it all. Set across a mammoth six rooms, you’ll be whisked off to warmer climates in their tiki paradise and have the opportunity to sing your heart out in their graffiti sprayed 80s-00s bunker. If you’re still not sold, you can tuck into a five-course meal before the night's begun for a few extra quid.

New Year’s Eve at Island Bar & The Victoria - Birmingham

 Bag yourself an early Christmas present and snatch a £12 ticket to this double whammy New Year’s Eve event (the price will be increased after the 25th). Why? You’ll gain entry to not one, but two of Birmingham’s finest New Year’s Eve parties. Whether you choose to sip on a free Jack Daniels in the Island Bar or on complimentary Bacardi drink at The Victoria next door, there will be plenty of tunes across four different rooms to get you off your bottom and onto the dancefloor. DJs will be on hand to spin jazz, funk and hip hop whilst the New Orleans influenced Bostin Brass will give two pulsating performances at both venues over the course of the night.

Waxy’s Annual Hogmanay Rock Lock In - Glasgow

Waxy’s Annual Hogmanay Rock Lock-In is back with a bang. With eight year’s experience behind them, this joint is known as one of Glasgow’s booziest New Year’s Eve celebrations. Kitted out with grand staircases, stained glassed windows, a huge organ and six different bars, Waxy’s medieval venue will also host two thumping DJs. They’ll both be gunning to play your favourite sing-a-long rock classics as well hosting an anything-goes air guitar competition; expect prizes for the finest solo, best knee slide and most moving performance as well as complimentary drinks and a late night buffet at this budget-friendly event.

 Be At One NYE - Brighton

Grab a ticket for Be at One in Brighton and arrive before 10pm on the 31st to receive a complimentary glass of prosecco. But, if you’re eager to get the night started a little earlier, Be At One will open their doors from 2pm onwards, putting on a five hour happy hour that will last until 7pm. Adjacent from the beach and a stone’s throw from the pier, you’ll have a fantastic view of the iconic coastline as you sip on some wild concoctions; think Irish Disco Biscuit ice-cream cocktails and fantastic fruity revelations.
