The 10 stages of freshers week

The 10 stages of freshers week

Freshers week is upon us, and you may be a little anxious. Don't worry, though, because this is what you're likely to expect over the next few days to put your mind at ease.

Just remember: Smile a lot and have a good time!

The moment your parents embarrass you in front of the world.

The moment your parents leave and you don’t know whether to rejoice or cry.

The moment of anxiety when you don’t know whether your new flatmates will be cool dudes.

The moment when you click with one of them and you realise everything’s going to be ok.

The moment you when you can’t decide whether the student bar being dirt cheap will be a blessing or a curse.

The moment you realise nobody knows your embarrassing moments thus far…

…until you fall from grace and your bar stool after not understanding that just because it’s two-for-one doesn’t mean you have to drink both each time.

The moment you register at your university, making you an official undergrad.

The moment you realise your lecturers are actually pretty fun and interesting people (hopefully).

The moment you head out and explore your exciting new home for the next three years and feel a little smug.
