This month’s new music releases that you need to hearBy Cara Dudgeon
March has given us plenty of new albums to keep us entertained whilst we wait for summer. Here are the ones we’ve had on loop.
Ed Sheeran, ÷
Ed’s new album has been highly anticipated since his last album was released in 2014. ‘Divide’ varies from the others as it has a slight folk edge to some of the songs, such as ‘Galway Girl’, but in typical Ed style, it’s still amazing, and in continuing to top all of the charts.
Beauty and the Beast: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
The soundtrack to the live action movie includes tracks by Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, who play Belle and the Beast respectfully. There is also a new version of the iconic, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ by Ariana Grande and John Legend ⏤ this one will definitely be on repeat!
Zara Larsson, So Good
The ‘Lush Life’ singer has released her debut album, ‘So Good’. The 19-year-old has a mix of pop hits — which are obvious classics — and ballads which overall give the album a good sense of balance.
The band’s second album is far from being labelled with second-album-syndrome. Known as the band who made psychedelic rock cool, the new album also speaks to this genre but is perhaps more refined.
Drake, More Life
Described by Drake himself as a ‘playlist’, rather than an album, he’s released 22 new songs. However, it has been quite controversial, as people have seen it as ‘more British’ than his previous works.
