Getting the life you want means losing the life you have

The Big Picture, produced by Pierre-Ange Le Pogam tells the story of Paul Exben, played by Romain Duris, a lawyer who has everything: a partnership in one of Paris’s most successful law firms, a beautiful wife and children he adores.

Paul’s life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers his wife, Sarah (Marina Foïs), is having an affair with Greg Kremer (Eric Ruf), a local photographer. A rush of blood and a dangerous act of impulse provokes Paul into the most fatal error of his life when he accidently kills his wife’s lover.

Bound by fear and guilt, Paul assumes a new identity and flees the country. This time, Paul gets a shot at being himself and at last, sees the big picture.
