In our modern, photo-filled society, editing apps are becoming a staple part of the group of ‘essential’ apps.

Is the one you’ve currently got ticking all the boxes? The following suggestions are our pick of the crop, and will help you to be sharing beautiful photos in no time.

They say: ‘we celebrate humanness — the people, perspectives and places that make up this world’. VSCO is popular due to its vast amount of styles. There are also more effects which you can buy through the app. VSCO focus on subtle, natural edits rather than extravagant changes.

PIXLR


  • Available on iOS and Android
  • Free

They say: ‘Pixlr is a fun and powerful photo editor that lets you quickly crop, rotate, and fine-tune any picture, free’. Pixlr is for the person that wants everything in one place. It’s easy to use, yet still includes a wide variety of controls. It has the basic colour adjustments, and works all the way up to advanced features like a red eye fixer.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS

It’s features include basic correction devices as well as a range of preset styles (some of which are in-app purchases). This app also has a blemish removal tool and various border effects.
