Independent talent recognised in inaugural awards
Student favourites Adele, Arctic Monkeys and Toddla T have been nominated for inaugural AIM Independent Music Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 10th November, the awards recognise and celebrate the artists, labels, companies and individuals at the heart of the independent music sector.
The nominations come after careful deliberation from a judging panel, including, among others, Krissi Murison, editor of NME, Nick DeCosemo, editor of Mixmag, BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and public voting which saw more than 14,000 people vote.
The awards take place at Floridita in Soho and the ceremony will be hosted by BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.
