Special clip from critically upcoming indie flick Martha Marcy May Marlene

Elizabeth Olsen stars in director Sean Durkin’s psychological thriller, Martha Marcy May Marlene, about a young woman who undergoes an explosive crisis of identity after escaping the confines of a rural cult-like farming community. Trapped by unsettling flashes of memories from the past and visions of a perilous future, she becomes taken over by an unsettling sense of fear, leaving her consumed by paranoia and a mysterious burden of guilt.

Martha Marcy May Marlene played to critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival, garnering a Directing Award for Durkin, and also screened at the Cannes Film Festival in Un Certain Regard where it received rave reviews. The film recently opened in the US to impressive box office figures. Critics have hailed the performance of breakout star Elizabeth Olsen, and cited her portrayal of Martha as one of the leading candidates for awards success.

Directed by Sean Durkin, and starring Elizabeth Olsen, John Hawkes, Sarah Paulson, Hugh Dancy and Brady Corbet, Martha Marcy May Marlene will open in the UK and Ireland on 3 February 2012, distributed by Fox Searchlight.
