Bass duo up for first BRIT Award

Having recently been nominated for a BRIT Award, Chase & Status have released a highlights video of their autumn 2011 tour.

Nominated for British Group at the BRIT Awards 2012, the other nominees have all won in previous years - Kasabian (2010), Elbow (2009), Arctic Monkeys (2008 and 2007) and Coldplay (2003).

Chase & Status are the freshest act in the category – this is the first time they have been nominated for the prestigious BRITs.

They are also the only act to feature from the hugely successful dubstep genre that took over the UK charts and airwaves last year.

"It's a real honour to be nominated for a Brit Award, especially alongside such great bands," the duo said.

"Thanks to all who've supported us and continue to do so."

Their follow-up album No More Idols is still flying high – debuting at number two back in January 2011, yet to leave the top 40 in the year since release and double Platinum in the UK.
