Casper the Friendly Ghost is back – and this time he’s haunting your smart phone!

Join Casper the Friendly Ghost and his friends as they dress up and get ready for Halloween in Casper’s Scare School: Costume Closet, a brand new app from Mindshapes.

With this spookily engaging and fun app, Casper and his friends Ra and Mantha can become a knight, a fairy, a scarecrow or even an astronaut with the touch of a hand!

We admit, we’re probably a bit too old for it (it’s intended for children aged three to seven), but there’s nothing wrong with a bit of reminiscing.

The Casper’s Scare School: Costume Closet app is available on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and is specifically designed to strengthen short-term memory – which is good for pre-exam preparation.

Players can choose from 15 unique costumes to create the perfect Halloween outfit for Casper and his friends. Once a costume is selected, players are encouraged to memorize the outfit so they can match costume pieces and collect them in their closet throughout the course of the game.

As more puzzles are solved in Casper’s Scare School: Costume Closet, the memory tasks become increasingly more challenging, encouraging object recognition and grouping skills. You can even interact with Casper, Mantha and Ra.

“Short-term memory is a critical element of mental agility. We wanted to create a game using a character that children know and love, and Casper the Friendly Ghost is the perfect character to engage children in this scarily good app,” said James Peak, education consultant for Mindshapes.
