Adele and Ed come out tops at the Brits

Both artists scoop two awards each at star-studded awards ceremony

Last night saw ITV celebrate the best in British and international music at the 32nd annual Brit Awards.

As usual, the event wasn’t without its controversy – organisers have been widely criticised for cutting superstar Adele’s thank you speech short, after she received the coveted award for ‘Best British Album’. This was Adele’s second prize of the night, she also took home the gong for Best British Female. 

Ed Sheeran celebrated similar success after winning best British male and British breakthrough.

Rihanna, Blur, Coldplay and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds all performed at the event.
