Boyfriend Fined for Dressing Up as Girlfriend to Sit Her Exam

Testing times for this Kazakhstan couple...

20-year-old Ayan Zhademov of Kazakhstan went the extra mile for his 17-year-old girlfriend by impersonating her in order to sit her university entry exam.

After Ayan failed to calm his girlfriend's pre-exam jitters, he decided to take the stressful three hour long Unified National Testing exam for her by donning a black wig, make-up, skirt and blouse.

However he raised suspicion amongst examiners firstly because he didn't look similar to the ID picture provided and secondly because of his deep voice. A spokesperson for the exam board commented:

"We suspected it might be another woman that had taken the candidate’s place, but we never suspected it was a man that had taken her place. At least not until he started speaking.”

Ayan was fined £1,400 for his chivalrous action. But luckily local businessman Olzhas Hudaibergenov was touched by his loving gesture, relieved to see that romance was still alive and has agreed to pay half the fine.

It seems Olzhas wasn't the only one left impressed by Aryan's actions. Fellow student Goga Korzhova said, "she's lucky to have someone as brave as this, someone, who will risk everything for her."

Another, Dariga Nesterova said, "it was stupid but very romantic. Sometimes love leads us to do silly things, I wish my boyfriend was this romantic."

Ayan's girlfriend hasn't yet commented on the story, but will have to wait until next year to sit the exam.

So next time exam time nears try and bag yourself a new partner rather than a new set of pens, it may work in your favour...
